Pioneer KRP-500A — Full Room Build in Grays
A major home cinema project in Grays, Essex, involving a complete room renovation to create a dedicated entertainment space around a Pioneer KRP-500A plasma. The work included first-fix wiring for in-ceiling speakers, construction of a custom fireplace surround, and full plastering before the final AV installation.
First Fix & Build Phase
Ceiling speaker positions were cut and wired during the build phase, with cabling concealed within the walls and ceiling before the plaster skim coat. A recessed fireplace was constructed below the TV mounting position, creating a clean architectural feature for the room.
Finished Installation
The Pioneer KRP-500A was mounted above the new fireplace with in-ceiling surround speakers providing multi-channel audio. The KRP-500A was among the last and finest plasma panels Pioneer produced. By planning the AV installation from the start of the build, every cable was hidden and every component positioned perfectly.
